POSITION SUMMARY:

Experienced finance and accounting leader responsible for ensuring full compliance with Mexican accounting, tax, statutory, and corporate governance requirements while driving accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and business partnering within a multinational environment. Strong expertise in Mexican GAAP, IFRS, SAT compliance, payroll obligations, electronic accounting, and coordination of external audits and tax matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings according to corporate (IFRS) and Mexican statutory requirements.
• Maintain full compliance with Mexican tax and accounting regulations.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and statutory reports.
• Coordinate external audits, tax audits, and statutory filings.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment for fixed assets, leases, inventory, freight costs, and project accounting.
• Supervise VAT, ISR, DIOT, payroll taxes, and electronic accounting submissions.
• Monitor compliance with CFDI invoicing requirements and SAT regulations.
• Drive strong internal controls and SOX-compliant processes.
• Lead and develop local accounting teams.
• Coordinate with corporate finance, tax advisors, legal, HR, and operations.
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives in SAP.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all accounting processes.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• • 5-10 years work experience in similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and Mexican tax/accounting regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Advanced SAP and Excel knowledge.
  • Preferrably experience in automotive industry.
